ISP recognises the need to train the general staff of the plantation industry. The one programme specially developed to cater all those needs is :-

  1. Certificate in Plantation Management (CPM)– a stepping stone for those in the general staff category

Certificate In Plantation Management (CPM)

Introduction 

A training module specially designed by ISP for SUPERVISORS to improve their knowledge and skills in the workplace. This is a guide to help supervisors to learn more effectively and handle examinations and assignments more productively. It provides practical advice and guidance on techniques of learning based on the principles of educational psychology. 

Admission Requirements

MCE/SPM, SPVM/HSC/STPM or equivalent with;

Working experience of at least 6 months – 1 year in the plantation or agricultural industry. 

Who should attend

Field/Technical/Office Staff, Cadet/Junior Planters in estates, research bodies and land development schemes as well as those involved or who share a keen interest in the field of plantation management.

Professional Diplomas of The ISP

LISP and AISP Examinations  

These examinations are mainly catered for Members of ISP who work in the plantation industry as Executives and above.

Certificate in Plantation Management (CPM)

An avenue has been created for candidates who pass the CPM examination to further their qualifications. Holders of CPM certificates can qualify for ‘Studentship’ under the TES of ISP. Once a candidate has been admitted to the ‘Studentship’ he/she to appear will qualify to appear for the LISP examinations.

To obtain a ‘Studentship’, candidates should contact the nearest ISP Branch Chairman, or the Headqurters for the ncessary application forms and information on procedures to apply for ‘Studentship’.

The TES committee of the ISP will continue to co-ordinate and manage the awards of the LISP and AISP Diplomas for members

PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA OF LICENTIATE OF THE INCORPORATED SOCIETY OF PLANTERS (LISP) 

  • Only for ISP members

  • Minimum 1 year experience in the plantation industry

  • Curriculum comprises of 2 modules with 17 subjects

  • Examinations conducted in March and October

  • Methodology – self study and examinations

  • A Professional Diploma of LICENTIATE of the Incorporated Society of Planters which entitles the holder to use the designatory letters LISP

ADVANCED PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA OF ASSOCIATE OF THE INCORPORATED SOCIETY OF PLANTERS (AISP) 

  • Upon completion of LISP, candidates are eligible to take for AISP

  • Curriculum comprises of 2 modules  

  • Examinations conducted in March and October

  • Methodology – self study and examinations  

  • Upon completion of Modules III & IV, candidates have to submit Project Paper

  • An advanced professional Diploma of Associate of the Incorporated Society of Planters which entitles the holder to use the designatory letters AISP

MASTER Of SCIENCE IN PLANTATION MANAGEMENT (MSc.)

** A Bachelor or its equivalent from any recognized institutions.
