PETALING JAYA: Affected native planters, whose palm oil merchandise are banned by the United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on compelled labour allegations, should pace up the submission of their impartial evaluation reports to the related US authorities.

According to trade guide M R Chandran, a possible delay in publishing the impartial reports might trigger uneasiness amongst US consumers and customers, thus resulting in a boycott or suspension on the origin palm oil merchandise.

“In fact, such delays have already led to a knee-jerk reaction by some big names such as Cargill Inc, Hershey Co, General Mills Inc and the latest being Italian confectionery giant Ferrero to boycott the purchase of palm oil products from the affected Malaysian planters,” he informed StarBiz just lately.
