On 14 November 2025, ISP Headquarters received a visit from Mr. Ramachandran, the Head of Training Department of KLK, to discuss potential collaboration in training and capacity-building initiatives for their plantation and milling personnel.

During the meeting, several key points were highlighted:
1. With more than 200,000 hectares under KLK’s management, there are significant opportunities for the training and development of planters and millers.
2. KLK currently operates a training school in Ipoh but still requires external training programmes to complement and enhance its internal efforts.
3. The first potential engagement identified is an in-house training programme for potential Senior Assistants who are being groomed to move into managerial roles. KLK expressed interest in ISPM conducting classes on:
– Soft skills for planters, delivered by trainers with estate backgrounds
– Management skills for Senior Assistants transitioning into managers
– Situational analysis on estates and strategies to close the performance gap towards achieving 6 MT/ha CPO
