The Malaysian Palm Oil Association (MPOA) is pleased to invite plantation industry professionals to participate in a two-day seminar focusing on the latest amendments to the Sabah Labour Ordinance, which came into effect on 1 May 2025.
This seminar is designed to provide practical guidance on applying the amended legislation in day-to-day estate and mill operations. Participants will gain valuable insights into employment contracts, working hours, wages, leave entitlements, Ordinary Rate of Pay (ORP), minimum wage compliance, and other statutory requirements affecting employers in Sabah.
Led by Encik Shafwan Datuk Hj Shamsuddin, Executive Director of the Malaysian Agricultural Producers’ Association (MAPA), the programme combines practical explanations, operational examples, and interactive discussions to help organisations strengthen compliance and minimise employment-related risks.
