On 22 January 2026, ISP hosted a meeting at ISP Headquarters with Mr. Ong Chong Hye, Chairman of the Planters Benevolent Trust (PBTM), to discuss matters relating to the Trust and its continued role within the plantation industry.

The discussion focused on the objectives and ongoing efforts of PBTM, which was established to assist planters who have fallen on hard times and to relieve necessitous persons who are or have been employed in an executive or managerial capacity within enterprises in the Malaysian plantation industry, as well as the wives, widows, and children of such individuals.

The meeting provided a meaningful platform to exchange views on strengthening welfare support mechanisms for members of the plantation community, reaffirming the shared commitment towards industry care, solidarity, and long-term sustainability.
