The ISP Sabah-Tawau Branch Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2026 was successfully held on 14 February 2026 (Saturday) in Tawau, Sabah, bringing together members and stakeholders to review the branch’s progress and direction for the year ahead.
The AGM was honoured by the presence of Dr. Ramesh Veloo, Chief Executive of ISP, alongside several distinguished figures including YBhg. Datuk Hong Ngit Ming, Executive Chairman of Teck Guan, Mr. Robert Yow, the most senior member of the Branch, and Tuan Haji Pondren Nawa. Their attendance added significance to the occasion and reflected strong industry support for the Branch’s activities.
The meeting proceeded in accordance with the official agenda, covering the confirmation of minutes of the previous Branch AGM, matters arising therefrom, the Branch Chairman’s Report, review of branch activities for the year, and Any Other Business. The session provided an important platform for members to discuss branch matters, exchange views, and strengthen professional ties within the Tawau plantation community.
In addition to the formal proceedings, participants also benefited from a technical talk by MPOB/Sawit Kinabalu, delivered by Dr. Rainer, who shared the latest treatment approaches for Ganoderma management. The session generated strong interest among attendees, given the ongoing challenges posed by the disease in oil palm plantations.
The event was further complemented by exhibition booths by several companies, allowing members to engage directly with industry solution providers and explore relevant products and technologies.
The AGM was chaired by Mr. Chen Chu Chai @ Anthony Tsen Sui Lin, AISP, FISP, Branch Chairman of ISP Sabah-Tawau, who guided the proceedings in an orderly and professional manner, ensuring meaningful discussions and productive engagement among members.
