On 27 January 2026, ISP, represented by Dr. Ramesh Veloo, Chief Executive of ISP and Mr. M. R. Chandran, conducted a strategic visit to Wisma FGV to meet with Mr. Izham Mustaffa, Group Director, Plantation Division of FGV Holdings Berhad (FGV). The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration in key areas of sponsorship, membership engagement, training programmes, and advisory services.

Discussions were highly encouraging, particularly regarding potential Platinum Sponsorship participation, which remains under consideration with positive indications. Membership engagement was also deliberated, given FGV’s substantial base of approximately 1,000 members. ISP humbly appealed for comprehensive participation support, recognising FGV as a key industry stakeholder. This represents significant potential engagement estimated at approximately RM200,000 per year, warranting continued follow-up and strategic collaboration.

Immediate opportunities were identified for the delivery of ISP’s International Senior Management Programme (ISMP) and Junior Management Programme in Bahasa Malaysia, including the possibility of customised in-house training programmes for FGV. Additionally, a proposed rubber training programme was discussed to support FGV’s 7,000-hectare rubber operations.

FGV also expressed strong interest in ISP’s integrated Advisory Services model, particularly in relation to marginal estates. The approach, which combines advisory support, structured training, and estate evaluation—and is HRDC claimable—was well received. Further discussions are anticipated to explore the next steps towards implementation.

The visit reflects ISP’s continued commitment to working closely with key industry leaders to advance professional development, operational excellence, and sustainable growth within the plantation sector.
