Boustead Plantations Berhad In-House Training Programme

The Comprehensive Plantation Management Training Programme was successfully conducted for Boustead Plantations Berhad from 10 to 12 February 2026 at Perdana Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, with the participation of 29 officers from the organisation.

The programme commenced with opening remarks by Datuk Haji Daud Amatzin, Chairman of ISP, who is also the Independent Non-Executive Director of Boustead Plantations Berhad, underscoring the importance of continuous professional development and strengthening agronomic competencies within the plantation sector.

This three-day in-house programme was designed to enhance participants’ practical knowledge and decision-making capabilities in key areas of plantation management. The sessions were delivered by Dato’ Dr. Mohamad Hashim Ahmad Tajudin and Dr. Ramesh Veloo, both Certified HRDC Trainers, who shared extensive industry experience and real-field insights.

Throughout the programme, participants explored critical topics including Yield Improvement and Best Management Practices (BMP) to achieve 6Mt CPO/Ha, Water Management for coastal and inland soils, Soil Rejuvenation techniques, and Planting Material and Nursery Establishment. Interactive case studies, group discussions, and practical evaluations enabled participants to bridge theory with operational realities.

The programme reflects ISP’s continued commitment to supporting industry players through customised in-house training solutions that integrate advisory, estate evaluation, and HRDC-claimable professional development initiatives, aimed at enhancing productivity, sustainability, and operational excellence within the plantation industry.
