The Incorporated Society of Planters (ISP) held a farewell celebration on 10 December 2025 at Hilton Petaling Jaya in honour of Ms. Thava Malar, Senior Manager, Publications, to recognise her exceptional service and lifelong contributions to the Society. The event brought together colleagues and management of ISP to express their appreciation as she embarks on her well-deserved retirement.
Ms. Thava Malar has served ISP with dedication and distinction since 1983, contributing more than four decades of unwavering commitment to The Planter magazine, ISP’s flagship and signature publication. Through numerous changes in ISP leadership over the years, she consistently gave her best, ensuring continuity, quality, and professionalism in ISP’s publications.
Throughout her tenure, Ms. Thava Malar played a pivotal role in gathering, editing, and publishing high-impact articles that have enriched the industry’s knowledge base. Her work helped maintain The Planter as a respected reference within the plantation sector. In addition, she provided steadfast support to the Planters Editorial Committee, working closely with committee members to uphold editorial standards and ensure timely publication.
The farewell celebration was a meaningful occasion to reflect on her remarkable journey, dedication, and lasting legacy within ISP. The Society extends its deepest gratitude to Ms. Thava Malar for her invaluable contributions, commitment, and service over the years.
