INTRODUCTION
Coconut (Cocos nucifera Linn) is widely planted in the tropics by commercial plantations and smallholders due to its many uses. In recent
years, the coconut industry is driven by the rapid growth and significant demand of new coconut products both locally and globally. Countries that
are heavily dependent on a single industrial crop like oil palm in Malaysia, should take this opportunity to diversify to coconut as one of their main
economic crops.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
Acquire knowledge on various aspects of coconut cultivation such as selection of planting materials, nursery planning, field preparation, P&D
management and other agronomic practices to optimize production. Also, to understand the processing and uses of major coconut products.
