INTRODUCTION
The integration of cattle in oil palm is a form of mixed farming where the combinations of the two commodities can be synergized to optimally utilize same piece of land to maximize land use. The two commodities when properly managed can contribute sustainable food supply especially red meat for nation. In addition, cattle integration can be reduced labour requirement and cost saving in plantation based on size of land of oil palm plantation in Malaysia. This course is formulated with subject matters that cover day to day operation to manage cattle in oil palm plantation The participants will be exposed in systematic approach to handle cattle in oil palm plantation This short courses will touch also on strategic insertion approach in handling and planning both commodities. Therefore, this course will be beneficial to implementors and management staff to supervise and manage the cattle integration in oil palm plantation. This will define and accomplish the management objectives to maximize the land used for sustainable palm oil practices
